Podcast host Joe Rogan dedicated the first few minutes of his most recent show to make an advertisement for Cash App, one of his sponsors, and tell his audience to buy Bitcoin.

On Episode 1515 of the show called Joe Rogan Experience that was aired on July 28, Rogan read out his advertising sponsors for the show – such as Cash App – after which he went on to highlight some of the technical advantages of Bitcoin to his audience of 200 million listeners.

Rogan begins by classifying Bitcoin as “transformative digital currency” pointing out the decentralized peer-to-peer characteristics of the payment network, that has no central authority.

“I love it”, Rogan states. He noted he believes that it is the future of exchanging currency and the way it must be done according to him.

In the past, Rogan has stated that his podcast, which just recently struck a massive $100 million per year deal with the streaming service Spotify, doesn`t really need support from Cash App, which indicates that his endorsement of Bitcoin is at least to some extent genuine.

Joe Rogan is known for his often-unorthodox viewpoints and support for personal freedom and privacy. The podcaster has had many prominent guests involved in the tech and crypto industries on his show, such as Bitcoin enthusiast Andreas Antonopoulos and Elon Musk.

The sponsor Cash App is a service for payments that are developed by Square. It gives its users the opportunity to trade Bitcoin since 2018. It appears that in recent months Square CEO Jack Dorsey (also CEO of Twitter) has increased the advertisement activities for the service.
