The founder and prominent CEO of the Kraken exchange Jesse Powell stated that the promise of Bitcoin is extraordinary and the price of the first cryptocurrency will “fly sky high.”
In a conversation with Bloomberg, Powell noted that the time when people will be measuring prices in Bitcoins is not far away, and in the distant future maybe even planets and whole solar systems could be purchased for BTC.
“Understandably, these are all just theories, but if you tally in dollars, then the increased possibility of the Bitcoin ratio is endless. I think that in the not-so-distant future, Bitcoin will establish itself as the most popular way of storing wealth, and gold will inevitably fade away into the back. Therefore, I believe that the $1 million price rate is an attainable and even sensible target within the coming ten years,” Powell explained.
Recall that in the course of the cryptocurrency bear market on February 23, the ETH price rate on the Kraken exchange tumbled down to $700, whereas on competitor exchanges the drop was only down to $1,400. The exchange’s management then chose to reimburse traders for a portion of their losses.
