Crypto Exchange Bitfinex Has Launched its Own Payment Service

Cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex declared the launch of its very own payment service called Bitfinex Pay, which will enable owners of e-commerce websites to receive payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USDT. To obtain admission to the payment gateway, merchants need to sign up to Bitfinex and go through a relatively quick process of verification.

When this is done, they will be ready to place the Bitfinex Pay widget on their webpage. It is notable that the service does not actually charge any additional commission for conducting a payment using it, and the highest payment amount is constrained to $1000.

“Only ten years after its initial so-called “genesis block” was mined, Bitcoin soared to the sixth largest currency in use in the world,” the Bitfinex Pay webpage reads.

Just a few days ago it became known that the PayPal payment giant plans to obtain crypto custody company Curv that specialises in storing cryptocurrencies. In November 2020, PayPal enabled the utilisation of cryptocurrencies Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Bitcoin to its US clients. Since then, all American-based users of the service can purchase, keep, and market crypto right through their PayPal wallet.
