
The collective market capitalization of cryptocurrencies across the world has now reached a high of $3 trillion. It happened for the very first time as the leading altcoins reached their prime stage.

An estimate shared by CoinGecko states that the overall market capitalization of cryptocurrency tokens have crossed the borderline of $3 trillion. Bitcoin is now revolving around 2% of its highest records. Other than this, Solana, Ethereum and Polkadot have entered in the range of their uncharted prices.
The last record of the cryptocurrency was $2.62 trillion on 20th Oct. However, it experienced a rise of 14.5% in just 3 weeks. Currently, crypto capitalization has reached over three trillion.
Previous Records of CryptoCurrency Capitalization
The last highest record of combined crypto market capitalization was close to $2.62 trillion on 12th May 2021. However, it later bounced to a nominal low of $1.24 trillion on 20th July. Before the pandemic, the last bull cycle recorded a total high at digital asset capitalization at worth $848.6 billion on 6th Jan 2018.
The data provided by CoinGecko is monitored over 10,418 digital tokens functioning over 518 cryptocurrency exchanges. Though Bitcoin has shown a steady and continuous rise in its price, the market has experienced a certain decrease in its overall market share. The largest crypto token lost its market dominance to 42.8% from 70.8% in September 2019.
The Market Capitalization of Top Currencies
Though BTC experienced a considerable low in the race of market dominance, the crypto token still has the highest market capitalization at $1.22 trillion with a total share of 40.5%. The next best token in the market is Ethereum with an 18.6% share at a market capitalization of $560 billion.
The current market capitalization of the Ether ecosystem accounts for $829 billion offering a 27.6% dominance. This data is provided by Messari’s Ethereum Screener, which holds monitoring of 209 projects working on the network.
