
Most recent data from Coin ATM Radar reveals that more and more Bitcoin ATMs are being mounted around the world.
From 7768 devices in May 2020, the number of ATMs supporting cryptocurrency increased to 19532 in May 2021.
The majority of the machines are in the US with 16478 Bitcoin ATM installed in the country, while in May 2020 there were only 5735.
According to the Bitcoin Depot multi-crypto ATM network, the company has already set up more than 2,450 ATMs worldwide, most of which are located in the United States. Last month alone, the firm installed 355 new machines in the US and expects 200% growth this year.
The company based in Atlanta ascribes the increase of this new type of ATMs to the growing popularity of cryptocurrencies and digital assets. They are gradually and firmly established in the everyday life of people.
Coin ATM Radar announced that the number of Bitcoin ATMs in Canada for the year increased from 728 to 1342 machines. During the same year, Europe saw an increase in the number of devices from 1,132 to 1,316.
Nevertheless, the number of machines in the UK has been declining from 274 in May 2020, there are currently only 181 crypto ATMs left in the country.
