The host of the TV show Shark Tank Mark Cuban criticized former SEC attorney John Reed Stark as “completely ignorant regarding cryptocurrencies”. Cuban said the cryptocurrencies will go on to have a positive business impact.
Stark beforehand stated that neither Bitcoin nor any other cryptocurrency is of any real use:
“The volatility is unbelievable and (what many people don’t realise) BTC or any other cryptocurrency is not accomplishing anything nice. The lone reason folks own it is the hope for a price growth that other people’s acquisitions will deliver”.
The speed at which billionaire Marc Cuban has gone from sceptic to crypto advocate is surprising. Back in December, he maintained that bananas are better than Bitcoins because they provide potassium.
Currently, he realizes many uses for cryptocurrencies in general:
“Money transactions. The source of digital files. An effective digital substance marketplace. Personal banking. Forecast markets. Unfractionated banking. Structured financial products. Fractionation of assets. Game awards”.
Part of the so-called “XRP Army”, Cuban has also been taking part in the fight against regulators due to the SEC’s ongoing lawsuit against Ripple.
The massive community resorted to numerous activities to battle the SEC, from swamping with outrageous comments to an actual protest in front of its headquarters in Washington.
