According to the opinion of individual experts, the companies, whose activity is related to cryptocurrencies and blockchain, are deeply worried by the laws adopted by the Russian government and are thinking about leaving the country.
A member of the Commission on Legal Maintenance of the Digital Economy of the Moscow Branch of the Russian Lawyers’ College Yuriy Brisov has sounded the alarm. He says that the world trends, which have created the conditions for an increase of investment in the crypto and blockchain companies, are passing Russia by.
Brisov thinks that the country is falling behind the states, where a fast growth of the products and services based on blockchain technology is expected:
“Customers come to us with questions about how to transfer their business away from Russia to a jurisdiction where it is easier to work with a cryptographic blockchain. Fortunately, such jurisdictions are sufficient. In this regard, Russia is starting to fall behind the rest of the world. ”
He noted that the last “big project, that made a furor in the mass media” was the issuance of a credit with a deposit of cryptocurrency, conducted by the Expobank at the end of the summer.
Since “nothing new or interesting has appeared on the market, although many expected that the market will grow”, especially after the adoption of the first law “On digital assets” in July of this year.
“The industry has been waiting for the law for a very long time, but in the end, everyone was confused by the text of the law. Big business has either abandoned the blockchain or has paused its projects in anticipation of better times,” added Brisov.
