Transfer of 96,000 Bitcoins Worth $1 Billion Had $4 Transfer Fees

Yesterday, the Bitcoin network witnessed a really impressive BTC transaction, in which there were more than 96,000 BTC, belonging to the custodial service Xapo. The transaction commission was only $4.

This is the second transaction of such a scale, which Xapo has done recently, the previous one included more than 100 thousand BTC.

The coins were divided into two transactions: one contained 92,000 BTC, the other – 4,000 BTC. Interestingly, the commissary charges made up only 8.3 charges per byte, which is only $4 for almost $1 billion worth of transferred Bitcoins. This is small, considering that since recently, transactions in the Bitcoin network have grown significantly.

According to the evaluation of the Blockchain Bitcoin block watchdog, the level of the anonymity of this transaction is medium since it can be tracked and identified as belonging to Xapo.

If we look at the address and check other incoming and outgoing transactions, we will see that just a couple of days ago, Xapo made hundreds of transactions out of the same amount and some of them contained coded messages.

One transcription of the letter reads: “Let’s use all the power of anonymity, see. Memo dot sv topic xу (z) “, which will probably lead to a closed site, as the “dot” is set before the expansion, and the expansion can be marked as .xyz.

Another reading can point to “case XYZ” or a diplomatic incident between France and the United States, which almost led to war.

Of course, it is difficult to understand the original meaning, but in any case, this is not an accidental message.
