Ether Sets New All-Time High Near $1,450

The rate of Ether (ETH), the built-in cryptocurrency of the Ethereum blockchain network, rocketed to record heights early on Tuesday.

Prices reached $1,439.36 – this is slightly over the prior all-time high of $1,432.78 recorded on January 13, 2018. The digital asset gathered nearly 12% on Tuesday to reach the latest height.

Ether initially indicated a coming rally to previously unobserved readings earlier this month but fell victim to a brief market adjustment caused by Bitcoin‘s tieback from $40,000 to $30,000 in the last week.

The cryptocurrency has exceeded its former bull market zenith nearly two months after Bitcoin bettered its December 2017 track record to hit a new high beyond $41,900 earlier this month.

Although Ether has tailed Bitcoin in its way to new lifetime highs, it has outperformed the top cryptocurrency on a year-to-date base with a 92% gain. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has grown 27% so far this year.

Ether is additionally well over 1000% from the time of the opening public selling of ETH in 2015, according to data by Messari.
