The Ukrainian government went to Twitter and asked for global help to raise funds. Ukrainian government needs help for managing its troops and supporting the natives. So they have opened the gates for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) along with Tether (TSDT). They are accepting donations in all these cryptocurrencies.
With the breakout of the war, the Ukrainian government has reached various international organizations for help. As a result, three crypto wallet address links were shared by the Ukrainian Vice President, named Fedorov. The vice president shared the same two addresses for the BTC and ETH donations. However, the USDT address was different.
Initially, the influential crypto entrepreneurs and venture holders were dithering about this announcement. The list of skeptical people also includes Ethereum’s Co-founder named, Vitalik Buterin. But later, the diplomat of the USA named Tomicah Tillemann validated the permissibility of the announcement by discussing it with the Ambassador of Ukraine named Olexander Scherba.
The natives of Ukraine who now are living as refugees cannot currently access their fiat savings. The reports of the UN states that more than 150,000 people have been migrated from the land of Ukraine till Feb. 26. Amid this dilemmatic situation, Buterin announced another Decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) which helps the displaced natives of Ukraine.
The DAO is managed by Nadya Tolokonnikova. It was released with a 1/1 NFT to collect funds for the Ukrainian people. According to Cointelegraph, the Ukrainian ministry has gotten various offers to make donations with cryptocurrencies to help the citizens until the 24th, Feb.
It is yet not validated. However, speculations say that the donations done on the addresses shared by the government will directly be used for the citizens. On the other hand, donations received by DAO will be given to the government through an NGO.
