Coinbase Pro Launches Support for Cardano’s ADA

Coinbase Pro is including support for Cardano’s ADA, with trading on the exchange beginning this Thursday once enough supply of ADA is created on the platform, the exchange announced.

Trading will start at 16:00 UTC on March 18 or after, whenever liquidity requirements are gathered.

Coinbase Pro will, for now, only support withdrawals to crypto addresses on Cardano’s decentralized hard fork Shelley.

Backing for addresses employing the earlier, Byron, version will be added shortly after, Coinbase revealed.

Ethereum-rival Cardano scored gains of 275% in February. ADA has thus come to be the third-most prized cryptocurrency when it comes to market capitalization, overtaking XRP, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin.

ADA was, as well, included in the Bloomberg terminals recently, theoretically providing availability to the crypto asset to many professional investors.

At press time, ADA was priced at $1.36, up 10.22% in the past 24 hours, and enjoys a market cap of $41.23 billion.

We remind you that earlier this month the Mary update was effectively introduced on the Cardano network.
