
The amount of computing power in the network of the first cryptocurrency continues to grow, despite its depreciation.
Bitcoin hash rate (the amount of computing power in the cryptocurrency network) reached an all-time high. The indicator reached 151.75 TH/s for the first time, despite a 16% drop in the value of the main digital coin in early September, to the current level of $10,200.
As a result of another recalculation, the difficulty of mining Bitcoin decreased by 1.21%, to 17.35. The indicator, which changes every two weeks, dropped after reaching a peak set in July this year.
At the end of August, the number of Bitcoins in miners’ wallets reached a two-year high. More than 1.82 million BTC turned out to be on the addresses belonging to companies mining the first cryptocurrency. The indicator has been growing since September last year, during this time it has increased by 2%.
