At McDonald’s in the US, you can buy 3275.89 Big Macs for one Bitcoin. In Russia, this figure will be higher – for the same amount in St. Petersburg, you can buy 9022.27 Big Macs.
The previous time Bitcoin’s purchasing power was so big was amid the 2017 bull rally, when the digital currency nearly hit the legendary $20,000 mark. On December 16, 2017, 1 Bitcoin could provide its owner with 6359.7 Big Macs. During the 2019 so-called “bearish” market, Bitcoin’s PPI dipped down to 1200 Big Macs.
Bitcoin’s PPI has risen more than 41% since early October. Over the same period, the price of Bitcoin has increased by roughly 39%.
