A user has made a transaction of 50 Bitcoins (BTC) that has not been moved for 10 years and was mined only half a year after the creation of the cryptocurrency.
The transaction concerns Bitcoin mined in May 2010, when the cryptocurrency was around 6 months old. Unknown user made the transfer of the 10-year old Bitcoins. They were inactive ever since they have been mined. A Telegram channel named Double TOP Traders was first to report the news.
According to data from the monitoring site Blockchain.com the cryptocurrency was transferred to an unknown address. Currently, it remains without further movements. However, it is known that on the new address are stored 50 BTC, the total sum of the transfer.
A similar transaction was made on May 20 this year. On this date, another unknown user made a transfer of the exact same sum of 50 BTC. These coins were mined in February 2009. At this point, the blockchain of the cryptocurrency was around one month old. In this period only a few people have been mining Bitcoins. Among them was Hal Finney, known as the first miner of the cryptocurrency, and also Satoshi Nakamoto – the creator of the cryptocurrency.
