For some time, users of the most popular crypto exchange platform, Binance weren’t able to make withdrawals for their Dogecoin following several unfavourable factors that came together.

Resuming Dogecoin Withdrawals

Considering the trading volume, Binance is the global leader in the largest cryptocurrency exchange platforms. It has recently restarted the withdrawals of Doge that was interrupted due to a glitch in the upgrade of the Doge wallet. The official announcement was made on Monday in which the cryptocurrency exchange stated about the resuming of Dogecoin withdrawals. The platform talked about experiencing a considerable malfunction that resulted in Dogecoin users being unable to withdraw their crypto-asset for 17 days.

In addition to this, Binance sent old transactions to 1634 users following a dispute in the versions of Doge wallets. The issues were the result of some unfavourable actions that specifically affected Binance. In their statement, Binance highlighted that users who have listed Doge on the platform in 2019 on a version of v1.14.0 and are facing the issue of stuck transactions in the wallet and have further added upgrades of version v1.14.2 to later get an update of version v1.14.5 will be suffering from the issue.

Their announcement further stated that they have analysed the problem based on all the said parameters that resulted in resending the coins. It simply requires a new wallet to resolve the issue. In their announcement, they also clarified that both entities, Doge network and Binance, not being at fault following their unawareness of the issue.

Elon Musk’s Comments Led to Highlight the Issue

The issue came into notice soon after Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla highlighted the concern through Twitter. In his tweet, Musk argued that the issue with Doge withdrawals on Binance was “shady”. Soon after the tweet, Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance looked after the problem and found out it was related to the recent upgrade of the Doge wallet. The matter was looked after and now the users can withdraw their Doge coins again from the Binance Doge wallet.
