According to the US-based business firm Lightspeed, crypto is going to be the new asset-class alternative for the investors of stock markets of India and some South-East Asian stock markets/firms. Lightspeed has invested millions of money in blockchain technology, including cryptocurrency and digital assets like Zerion, FTX, Wintermute, etc.

According to Hemant Moha Patra, partner at Lightspeed, some young investors are trading to move towards cryptocurrency for their high yielding in the world of stock markets. It has been believed by the venture capital firm that the increase in the rate of interest and the connection of cryptocurrency with politics will attract the stock market investors towards these value-creating assets.

It was observed that volumes of stock market trading had been increased in the year 2021, growth from $271 billion in June quarter of 2020 during the COVID19 first wave to $22 trillion in May 2021 and Indian have invested Rs. 6 lakh Crores in cryptocurrencies by advertisement in Social Medias. The stability of crypto markets has triggered investors to maximize their profits from these uncontrolled and deregulated segments.

According to Subham Sandeep, the principal at business investment firm Pi ventures- the new and upcoming generation will acquire their first exposure to stock market investment through cryptocurrencies, as the last generation invested in real estate, then the era of 1990s-2010s invested in equity.

The primary reasons for investing in crypto and blockchain domains are promising, lucrative and massive growth rates. Companies have raised their assets by more than half-billion dollars this year. As cryptocurrencies have a very high potential for giving higher returns in investment, but the risk that comes with it is higher too.
