Elon Musk Set Price for His NFT at 420 Million Dogecoin

Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that he is willing to sell his NFT token for the price of 420 million Dogecoin. The entrepreneur replied to the artist Beeple (Mike Winkelmann), who offered 69 million Dogecoin for his NFT on Twitter. At the current rate of the cryptocurrency 420 million Dogecoin is worth around $24 million.

It is worth mentioning that it was the sum of $69 million that Beeple got earlier in March for the sale of his set of drawings “Everyday: The First 5000 Days”. The set contains 5,000 unique images that Beeple has been producing over 5,000 consecutive days (beginning in May 2007).

The work of the artist turned out to be the first sale in the history of the auction house Christie’s, which was marketed for cryptocurrency. Payment for the NFT was completed in Ethereum, but Christie’s commissions were rewarded in US dollars.

NFT tokens are unique and not separable. These tokens are used to verify possession of an object; they can’t be replaced without the approval of the owner.

We remind that not long-ago the co-author of the TV series Rick and Morty Justin Roiland sold his crypto art piece for $290K.
