Coinbase Launches Cryptocurrency Visa Debit Card for US Residents

Coinbase, the well-established American crypto platform, is launching debit cards with Bitcoin cashback and Stellar for US users in cooperation with Visa.

The company invited its clients to sign up for a pre-order to receive the Coinbase Card in the coming winter. However, the digital version will be available on sign up, although the physical version will arrive by mail within a period of two weeks.

The debit card will allow its users to spend cryptocurrency directly from their accounts on the Coinbase exchange. This way, US residents will be enabled to conduct online payments with the Coinbase Card or use it in stores. They could also withdraw cash from ATMs and receive back 1% in Bitcoin or 4% in Stellar (XLM).

UK users already got access to Coinbase Card in April 2019. Just a few months later, the exchange issued cards for the citizens of Spain, Ireland, France, Italy, Germany, and the Netherlands.
